What is Bedford Alternative Music? |
Bedford Alternative Music is the new name for the Bedford Metal website. We decided that Bedford Metal wasn't an appropriate name for the website anymore, as we cover gigs, reviews, interview and photos from bands of any genre. With the name change, we thought we'd give the entire site an overhaul - make it look nicer, make it run smoother and make everything easier to access. Hopefully you'll agree that it's a success. |

What is Bedford Metal? |
Bedford Metal is the name for the live side of our shows. But don't let the word Metal put you off asking us for anything - as above, we deal with bands from every genre. We've decided to keep the name "Bedford Metal" for live shows because it's something the local music scene knows and loves, and we don't want to change that. |

Why do you do this? |
We do all this so that the entire Bedford music scene can come together in one place. We're also doing this so that we can display the best in musical talent from acts in Bedfordshire and beyond. We take great pride in what we do, and we love to help out the local music scene in whatever way we can. |

What's with the new site? |
This new website is here so we can show that we're back, and that we've got a new look. Everyone at Bedford Alternative Music decided it was time for a new look website, as we'd had the old one for a long time. But don't worry - everything from the old website will be on here (eventually). So it's still the same place for local music, just with a new name, and a new look. |

How often do you put on live shows? |
We put on shows whenever we can. These shows mostly happen on Friday nights throughout the year, but sometimes we have gigs on Saturdays too. Usually, we have a few gigs a month. We're currently in the process of getting our live shows back in action VERY soon, so keep your eye on the gigs page. |

Where are Bedford Metal shows put on? |
Our Live shows are usually held at the Bedford Athletic Rugby Club in Putnoe. We may use other venues from time-to-time though, which are still in Bedford. All upcoming shows are can be found on the gigs page, with directions to the venue we're holding the event at. |

What type of bands do you get playing for you? |
Everyone! We've put on live bands from every genre. We have metal, rock, punk, indie, electronica, acoustic... and everything in between. Whether you're a solo artist or in a band, whether you've been jamming in a garage and want to get gigging, or whether you're an established act, we'd love to hear from you. |

Can our band play a show for you? |
Get in contact with us! Check the contact page for our email address. Though we're not putting on gigs in the immediate future, we plan to start up as soon as possible. So registering your interest can't hurt, right? |

We've got something that we'd like on your site - how do we go about it? |
If you've got anything from a local show, or anything involving a local band, such as a review (live or CD), pictures or news, let us know! We love having outside input, and if what you give us is good enough for the site, we'll do our best to put it up here. |

This site was started as BEDFORD METAL. The first, original, informative local site and main platform to promote the scene and talent of alternative original live music in the Bedford and surrounding area, ranging from Rock, Punk, Goth and Metal. |
